Supporting Science

I support TA's by offering workshops such as "Preparing a Teaching Philosophy" and leading sessions at UGA's TA Orientation and Spring Teaching Symposium.

I support graduate students by offering an apprenticeship based model to advising. I conduct fieldwork, write journal articles, and propose grants with my students. We complete these tasks as a team.

It is incredibly important to provide service to the scientific community. I do this partially through providing high quality peer review for journal publications and textbooks.

With colleagues at other institutions, I also  chair the GSA Session Best Practices and Exciting Discoveries in Identifying, Mapping, and Analyzing Planetary Landforms and Terrestrial Analogues and teach a GSA short course, Planetary Geologic Mapping for Students.
